The  e-Chelan project has been launched by Hon'ble chief minister of Kerala An integrated traffic management system introduced in the state
        Hon'ble Chief Minister of Kerala,  Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan has launched an e-chelan system to levy fines on those who violating traffic rules. This helps in vehicle inspection and payment of fines.
        The CM said that all the information about the vehicle is known by giving the vehicle number or driving license number on the equipment held by the inspectors. Penalties can be paid online using credit and debit cards. The Chief Minister suggested that special facilities should be provided for those who do not have such facilities to pay the fine.

         As it is a digital system, there is no chance for complaints or corruption, transparency can be fully ensured. Cases can also be referred to virtual courts. The software was developed by the National Informatics Centre. The project is being implemented in collaboration with the Federal Bank and the Treasury Department. The CM said that the process of implementing an integrated traffic management system in the state is in its final stage. For this, 3000 cameras from different districts of the state will be connected in Thiruvananthapuram, including number plate identifiers in the control room.
         On this occasion, the State Police Chief and DGP Shri. Loknath Behra IPS, ADGP (HQ) Shri. Manoj Abraham IPS, Traffic and Road Safety IGP Shri. G. Laxman IPS and other senior officers were present.

New-age security threats the country faces

Nagaland Governor Shri. R.N Ravi IPS (Rtd), a former deputy national security advisor, has called for closer coordination among the intelligence and enforcement agencies to overcome the new-age security threats the country faces. He had also served as the Centre&rsquos interlocutor for the Nagaland peace accord, delivered the first in the series of talks on &lsquoPerformance Innovation through Technology&rsquo at the Police Training College on 14/12/2019.

Hon&rsquoble Governor of Nagaland point out the &lsquoNew age threats to nation security reconsidering traditional law enforcement policies&rsquo and security threats in the modern-day world stood by the cyber world. There were far greater than visible forces, the security expert called for greater focus to development cyber-surveillance tools to monitor the underworld of Internet. He also stressed and worrying trend of rising drug explosion in the country. 

He commended the Kerala police for their efforts in ensuring optimal utilization of the capabilities and expertise of each member in the force.

 

 

 

 Kerala Police bagged 3rd place in All India Police Duty Meet

All India Police duty meet is an event which evaluates and recognizes the operational excellence of police personnel in National level. Kerala Police have reached yet another milestone after attaining 8 medals including 3 Gold and 3 Silver. In computer awareness event Kerala Police have been awarded overall trophy and gold medal. Kerala Police have finished first after attaining 126.5 marks in all three categories of computer awareness event. The overall trophy awarded in the computer awareness event proves the knowledge, ability and efficiency of Kerala Police in Technology and Digital World. Kerala Police have finished 3rd in the duty meet beneath Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu after bumping many excellent States and Central Police Forces with a vast difference.

A Civil Police Officer of Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad in Thrissur Range Ratheesh K R has bagged Gold medal in Anti-Sabotage Check event. A Civil Police Officer of Kochi City M Sajeev Kumar has got Bronze medal in the same category. Badge of Honour awards and Commendation Certificate given away for police personnel
