Organized Crime Wing (OCW)


Organized Crime Wing of CBCID investigate crimes that are being committed by a highly organized group of individuals that may be local or spread across various states or nations, who generally indulge in illegal activities for monetary gain. The kind of offences often investigated by this wing is

  • Offences relating to Narcotics and Psychotropic substances
  • Abkari offences
  • Offences relating to Arms and Explosives
  • Counterfeit currency
  • Extortion
  • Sedition
  • Arson
  • Rioting
  • Illegal racket concerning fake passports
  • Kidnapping and Ransom
  • Human Trafficking

Organized Crime Wing is being headed by Inspector of Police, OCW and consists of 4 units each headed by a Superintendent of Police.
