Distribution of M. Gopalan Scholarships Award 2011-2012

Kerala Police won the gold medal in Computer event in the 56th AIPDM
Sri. DILI. S Civil Police officer of Kerala Police has won the gold medal in Computer awareness event in the 56th All India Police Duty Meet -2012 in Bhopal. The Silver Medal was won by Sri.KOUSURI V N S RAJU of Andhra Pradesh Police and Bronze Medal was won by Sri. P.MANIKANDAN of Central Reserve Police Force.
Implementation of Right to Service Act
Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri.Oommen Chandy inaugurated the Implementation of Right to Service Act in the presence of Hon’ble Minister for Home and Vigiliance Sri. Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishanan on 30/01/2013. Hon’ble Minister for Health, Family Welfare and Devaswom Sri. V.S.Sivakumar, Adv:K. Chandrika, Mayor, Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, Shri. Shri. Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan Hon'ble Minister for Home & Vigilance inaugurated the online facility to track FIRs at a function held at Thiruvananthapuram on 26/09/2012. Adv:K. Chandrika, Mayor, Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, Shri. K.S.Balasubramanian IPS, State Police Chief, Kerala, Shri. A.Hemachandran IPS, ADGP South Zone, Dr.Shaik Darvesh Saheb IPS, IGP Thiruvananthapuram Range, Shri. Anil Kant IPS, IGP SCRB, Shri. Palayam Rajan, Corporation Ward Councilor and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
A person who wants to track or know the status of their FIR can access the Kerala Police website (keralapolice.gov.in) and click the link ‘Know your FIR Status’. Any one of the information such as FIR number or name of the petitioner or date of registration of the FIR has to be given to access the details. The status of the case, including the acts and sections involved, contact details of the investigating officer, name of the filing court, and case details, etc are available online.
Cases registered at police stations will be recorded through the Daily Crime Reporting and Monitoring System (DCRMS) and the details are conveyed to the public through the interface provided in the Kerala Police website. The online system will enable senior officers to monitor the progress of the investigation. The details on the website will also help the police to track crime cases.
This facility is being provided and maintained by the Police Computer Centre, State Crime Records Bureau of Kerala Police.

Fifth National Conference of Women in Police from 25th to 27th July 2012

The Fifth National Conference of Women in Police, organized by the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR & D) and the Kerala Police will begin Thrissur on Wednesday. Hon’ble Chief Justice Manjula Chellur (Acting Chief Justice, Kerala High Court) will inaugurate the three – day conference with the theme “Women Police : Making a difference”.

Sri. Maniyan pillai (47 years ) , the driver police officer of Parippally PS, Kollam City was killed and an ASI Sri. Joy seriously injured when unidentified persons attacked them while checking a vehicle parked under suspicious circumstances during night patrol on 26/06/2012 01.00AM.
Maniyan Pillai was cremated on his residential premises on Tuesday evening. He is survived by wife Sangeetha S Nair and daughters Smriti and Swathy.
Assistant sub-inspector Joy, 52, Panavilavettil, Chenkulam, suffered serious injuries and is recovering at a private Medical College Hospital
Prime Ministers Police Medal for Life Saving-2011
Thekkady is a world famous international tourist destination. Boating in Periyar lake is the main attraction of Thekkady. On September 30th 2009, it was 5.05 PM, Inspector of Police, Kumily, Shri. Anil Sreenivas got information that a tourist boat was sinking in Periyar lake. So immediately he along with maximum police personnel rushed on the police Jeep to the boat landing.
Meanwhile on police jeep the Inspector informed the higher-ups and also made light arrangements for the rescue operation as it was night setting in.
Central Police Canteen
Shri . Oommen Chandy , Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala Inaugurated the Central Police Canteen for Police in the model of CSD canteen at the Nandavanam AR Camp , Thiruvananthapuram on 28-12-2011. Hon’ble Transport Minister Shri.V S Sivakumar presided over the function. Hon’ble Finance Minister Shri. K M Mani gave the first smart card to the State Police Chief Shri. Jacob Punnoose IPS.

Kerala Police won the over all Championship in the Computer Events in the All India Police Duty Meet – 2010 held in Jaipur during February 07 to 12, 2011. In addition to the Overall Championship Kerala Police also won gold and a silver medal in the individual items. This is the third time Kerala Police winning the overall Championship in the Computer Events.
Shri. Thalhath P.M from Kerala Police (Ernakulam Rural) won the Gold Medal in the Office Automation (Event-II) conducted in the 54th All India Police Duty Meet-2010.
The Silver Medal was won by Mr. Rajesh G PAI of Central Industrial Security Force and Bronze Medal was won by Mr. Selvaraj T.A, of Tamil Nadu
Shri. Mukesh M.R from Kerala Police (SCRB) won the Silver Medal in the Computer Awareness conducted in the 54th All India Police Duty Meet-2010.
